Glass Artists
ANNE NYE

ANNE NYE  Nebraska artist Anne Nye’s fused glass technique comes from her background as a painter. “I literally paint with layers of crushed glass, blocking in background colors then create new colors by adding layers of transparent and opaque glass, creating texture & depth.”

REBECCA & DEAN DERBY

REBECCA & DEAN DERBY  Becky and Dean Derby create fused glass chimes, funcatchers and ornaments. All of their work is made by fusing iridescent clear and colored glass. All of the cutting, design, and fusing is done by the couple in their converted garage studio located in the North Carolina Blue Ridge Mountains. Fusing is done at a fairly low temperature to leave lots of texture in the glass. The Derby’s incorporate glass beads, millefiore, brass findings and accents into their work.
